What is a standard rail?

Answer:
There is no such thing. There are approximately 30 rail sections in current production. Rail weights are based on pounds per yard or kilograms per meter. For more information on common rail sections, go to our Rail Search Database tracer.

What is a turnout?

Answer:
A turnout allows rolling stock to be diverted from one track to another.

Question:
Is there a standard turnout?

Answer:
A turnout can be either right hand or left hand. Each turnout varies according to the angle of the frog.

Question:
What is a frog?

Answer:
