Press release, December 28, 2010 . . .

Atlantic Track and Turnout Co. announces the ground-breaking for a 20,000 sq. ft. addition to its Richmond, IL trackwork manufacturing facility.

Atlantic Track and Turnout Co. has taken the next step in the expansion of its trackwork manufacturing capability with the ground-breaking for a 20,000 sq. ft. addition to its Richmond, IL trackwork manufacturing facility. The addition will house new equipment broadening the range of products and services Atlantic Track offers the railroad industry. In addition, the expansion provides additional indoor space for turnout panels and storage. Scheduled completion date is April 1, 2011.

The expansion of the Richmond facility follows Atlantic Track's August, 2010 purchase of the assets of Mid-South Rail and Reconditioning, a Memphis based special trackwork producer.

"Atlantic Track's decision to grow its frog and switch manufacturing business has been met with huge acceptance by our customer base", according to Peter Hughes, President of Atlantic Track.

The expansion at the plant in Illinois and the acquisition of the plant in Memphis further establishes Atlantic Track as a trackwork manufacturer, capable of delivering material according to varied customer specifications.

Founded in 1924, Atlantic Track manufactures and supplies new and reconditioned switches and trackwork components; composite third rail; fiberglass insulators and coverboard; new and relay quality rails and OTM; and is a leading supplier of crane rails and accessories.

Atlantic Track has sales, production and warehousing locations in 10 states and is ISO certified.
